Summit Terms of service
Effective from 1 November 2026
1. Who we are
Summit is provided by Around Us B.V., Veemarkt 110, 1019 DE Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 57043388, VAT number NL852415205B01. Email: support@getsummit.eu.
In these terms, "we" and "us" means Around Us B.V. "You" means the company or professional that creates a Summit account. "Summit" means the online service at app.getsummit.eu, including its emails, PDFs and exports.
2. Summit is for businesses
Summit is meant for businesses and professionals using it for their work, not for consumers. By creating an account you confirm that you are acting in the course of your business or profession. The person who creates the account does so on behalf of the company, and confirms they are authorised to.
3. The agreement
The agreement starts when you create an account and consists of these terms and the processing agreement in Appendix A. Other general terms, including your own purchase conditions, do not apply.
You can view, save and print these terms at any time at app.getsummit.eu/legal/terms.
4. Your account and members
- You keep your login details private and are responsible for what happens under your account.
- The account owner can invite members. You are responsible for your members and for making sure they follow these terms.
- Only the owner can manage billing, company settings, members and invitations.
- Tell us right away if you suspect someone has misused your account.
5. Trial
Every new account starts with a free 14-day trial with full access. You don't pay anything for the trial. When it ends without a paid plan, your account becomes read-only: you can still view and download your data, but you can't create or send anything new.
6. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in Summit and on our website, excluding VAT. VAT is added where it applies.
- You pay per month or per year, in advance, through our payment provider Mollie. When you start a plan, you authorise us to collect the amount automatically for each new period.
- Your plan renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it.
- We can change prices. We tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you. The new price applies from your first renewal after that date, and you can cancel before then.
- You receive an invoice for every payment.
7. Late payment
If a payment fails, you have 7 days to pay. After that your account becomes read-only until the payment is made.
8. Cancelling
- You can cancel your plan at any time in Summit. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Until then you keep full access.
- We don't refund amounts already paid for the current period.
- After the paid period ends, your account becomes read-only.
9. Inactive accounts
To avoid keeping data that nobody uses, we delete inactive accounts:
- 3 months after a trial has ended without a paid plan, or
- 12 months after an account became read-only (for example after cancelling or non-payment).
We email the owner at least 30 days before we start the deletion. After that you still have 14 days to undo it or download your invoices, as described in article 10. Choosing a paid plan in time stops the deletion.
10. Deleting your account
The owner can delete the account in Summit. Access stops right away. For 14 days you can undo the deletion and download your issued invoices and credit notes. After 14 days we permanently delete your company's data, except what we must keep ourselves by law (such as the invoices we sent you) and the pseudonymous statistics described in our Privacy notice.
11. Your responsibility for your invoices
Summit is a tool. It helps you create and send invoices, but it doesn't give tax, legal or accounting advice.
- You decide what you invoice, to whom, for what amount, and with which VAT treatment. You check every invoice before you issue it.
- Issued invoices and credit notes can't be changed; corrections are made with a credit note.
- You are responsible for keeping your own administration, including the legal retention period for invoices (7 years in the Netherlands). Summit does not replace that obligation. Download your invoices regularly, and in any case before your account is deleted.
12. Emails to your clients
Summit sends invoices, reminders and credit notes to your clients on your behalf, from invoices@getsummit.eu with your company name, and with replies going to your own email address.
- Only send to clients you do business with, and never use Summit for spam or unsolicited messages.
- Daily sending limits apply to protect deliverability (currently 25 emails a day during the trial and 200 on a paid plan, and one reminder per invoice per day). We may adjust these limits.
13. Acceptable use
You won't use Summit to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to send harmful content, or to disrupt or test the security of Summit without our permission. If you do, we may suspend your account. Where possible we warn you first.
14. Availability and changes to Summit
We do our best to keep Summit available and working properly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may carry out maintenance, and we keep developing Summit, which means features can change. We won't remove features that are essential to issuing and downloading your invoices without telling you in advance.
15. Your data
Your data stays yours. We only use it to provide Summit to you, as described in the processing agreement (Appendix A) and our Privacy notice (app.getsummit.eu/legal/privacy). You can download your issued invoices and credit notes at any time.
16. Intellectual property
We own Summit, its software and its design. You get a right to use Summit for your business for as long as the agreement lasts. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
17. Liability
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage.
- We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue, missed savings or damage caused by incorrect invoices or tax treatment.
- These limits don't apply if the damage was caused by our intent or gross negligence.
- Report any claim to us in writing within 12 months after you discovered the damage.
18. Ending the agreement
The agreement ends when your account is deleted, by you or under article 9. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. If we end it without a breach on your side, we refund the part of a prepaid period you can no longer use.
19. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We email the owner at least 30 days before a change takes effect and show a notice in Summit. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect; otherwise the new terms apply from that date. Minor changes that don't affect you negatively can apply sooner.
20. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam.
Appendix A: Processing agreement
This appendix forms part of the Summit Terms of service. It applies to the personal data you store in Summit about your clients and their contact persons. For that data, you are the controller and we are the processor, as meant in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
